Agenus expands BOT plus BAL trials

Agenus is expanding its neoadjuvant oncology strategy with three investigator-sponsored posters at ESMO26, focusing on the combination of BOT and BAL therapies.

The studies cover neoadjuvant colorectal cancer, refractory MSS metastatic colorectal cancer, and advanced sarcoma, with the NEOASIS trial specifically evaluating BOT plus BAL before surgical intervention. The company continues to prioritize innovation in immunotherapy approaches for challenging cancer indications.

Agenus previously reported a 33 percent three-year overall survival rate and 21.2-month median overall survival in refractory MSS metastatic colorectal cancer using BOT plus BAL in an earlier trial. The company also secured up to $340 million in an oversubscribed private placement to support a pivotal Phase 3 colon cancer study earlier this year. These developments highlight Agenus’s ongoing focus on advancing immunotherapy in colorectal cancer.
