Qualys has disclosed a critical race condition in the Linux kernel's XFS filesystem known as RefluXFS, according to the company. The vulnerability affects kernel versions starting from 4.11.
Qualys reported that the issue impacts about 16.4 million enterprise systems worldwide, including those running RHEL, Amazon Linux, and Fedora. The vulnerability has been present in these systems since kernel version 4.11.
Qualys (QLYS) is trading at $139.78, below both the SMA-20 ($144.90) and significantly above the SMA-50 ($120.45) and SMA-200 ($118.49), indicating short-term bearish pressure but a medium- to long-term bullish structure remains intact. The Ichimoku Kijun on D1 sits at $137.33, now acting as immediate support beneath current price, while near-term support is seen at the Kijun ($137.33) and SMA-50 ($120.45), and resistance appears at the SMA-20 ($144.90) and the SMA-100 ($105.36) for key lower support.
Momentum on D1 is conflicted: the MACD signals strong upside while the ADX remains robust, supporting a persistent trend, yet several oscillators tell a mixed story. The RSI is neutral-bullish at 53.33 but Stoch RSI and CCI confirm oversold conditions, suggesting a possible short-term rebound. BBP indicates seller dominance intraday, reinforcing the corrective tone, though AO is neutral and does not significantly validate either side. QLYS has fallen $19.65, or 12.20%, from the previous weekly close of $159.43, marking a steep weekly decline with price now at the very bottom of the range. Weekly volatility stands at 14.14%. The price slide this week is pronounced, with momentum indicators diverging from the bearish price action, suggesting a period of adjustment rather than a full trend reversal. In today's session, QLYS continues to face selling pressure, dropping 2.78% intraday.
Looking to the week ahead, the forecast range for QLYS is $138.50 to $146.00, reflecting the current $139.78 handle and typical volatility bounds, which keeps the move moderate relative to the 52-week band ($74.51–$167.86). The probability of a further price increase is high—more than 80%—supported by "Buy" signals from RSI-W1, ADX-W1, MACD-W1, and MA-50-W1, making a sustained decline less likely. Baseline scenario sees price consolidating between recent support and resistance ($138.50–$146.00) as bears and bulls reach a temporary stalemate. A bullish scenario unfolds if price reclaims $144.90 (SMA-20), potentially testing $146.00–$148.00. The bearish scenario would see a break below $137.33, exposing the next support around $120.45. Overall, the outlook is for consolidation near the bottom of the weekly range, with recovery attempts likely given the oversold oscillators and strong medium- to long-term MA structure.
Previously it was reported that Qualys maintained an overall bullish technical outlook despite recent selling pressure. In light of the latest developments, traders should focus on the prevailing scenario and monitor for confirmation of sustained momentum or emerging risks at current inflection points.
