Energy Vault battery nears completion

Energy Vault is finalizing its 200MW 400MWh battery storage installation in New England, which is constructed adjacent to the largest solar farm in Australia. The company has indicated that the project is on track for full operationalisation by year end.

This milestone marks a significant step for Energy Vault in scaling up grid-scale battery storage to support renewable power in the region. The development is expected to enhance grid reliability and contribute to meeting Australia’s clean energy targets.

Earlier this year, Energy Vault began construction on a powered AI campus in Texas to deploy Crusoe Spark modular data centers with 8 MW capacity, according to company disclosures. The company also agreed to supply 1.25 GW power infrastructure for a hyperscaler AI data center in partnership with EPC and Caterpillar, based on a major contract. These projects reflect Energy Vault’s continued expansion into large-scale energy deployments.
