Weekly lows set as bearish structure meets oversold momentum

Price broke under the prior weekly low at $1,024 and is setting a new low for the week. This move coincides with a broader bearish chart structure, as shares are trading below the MA-20 and MA-50 but remain above the MA-200, pointing to a split daily setup. In addition, Stoch RSI is in oversold territory, which is a stretched reading that limits room for further downside.

Downside probability outweighs upside as traders watch $1,024 reclaim

To gauge whether the recent move is being accepted by the market, traders should watch for a close above $1,024 to indicate buyers are regaining control. Shares have recently fallen below this level, establishing a new low for the week. Over the past week, the move has stayed contained within a narrow range, but from here the downside probability outweighs the upside at 63% versus 37%, with an expected trading range of $979.96 to $1,047 for the coming trading week. A drop below $957.38 would show the move is being faded. On the weekly chart the longer-term picture stays constructive.

Earlier, analysts noted that Equinix was facing ongoing downside risks despite a broadly constructive long-term technical outlook. The launch of the Inference Exchange initiative strengthens the company's strategic positioning, but with shares setting new lows, traders should monitor for a sustained break below $957.38 as a signal that the current move is being faded.
