SoundThinking reported that a ShotSpotter alert directed Baltimore police officers to the Pedestal Gardens area, where they discovered cartridge casings and secured the scene. Two individuals were detained as part of the incident response.

The event highlights SoundThinking's engagement in supporting law enforcement through real-time gunshot detection technology, providing tools to aid in the investigation and swift response to shootings.

SoundThinking’s ShotSpotter system previously enabled Boston police to quickly respond to gunfire near a school and arrest a suspect, according to a recent report. The company’s CrimeTracer technology also assisted OCSheriff in linking a vehicle to cell tower battery thefts spanning two counties, as detailed in another investigation. These cases highlight SoundThinking’s ongoing collaboration with law enforcement agencies.
