Los Angeles-based and crypto-powered Nova Labs Inc, the company behind Helium Network, is spreading its feat across the country with a mobile package that costs $20 a month.
The company launched its first enterprise in the telecommunication industry in August, kickstarting a $5 trial program on Helium Mobile in Miami. It has been working on a nationwide phone plan launch since its partnership with T Mobile in September.
Helium Mobile highlighted that an average American will only spend $157/month on their phone and anyone in the US can be part of the Helium Mobile craze.
According to Nova Labs, the users will have to bring their phone to run the network, however, the offer only benefits several devices that run either an Android 11, iOS 14, or new batches of phone updates.
A Helium Mobile representative also told Decrypt that both new and existing users residing in Miami can still enjoy the same feature for $5 a month.
Before the $20 mobile package was deployed in Miami, the company was considering a $25 plan. But despite the price adjustments, the Helium mobile was still cheaper than any other unlimited mobile phone package in the United States.
Nova Labs highlighted that to achieve this feat, the subscribers must install wireless hotspots in their area to enjoy Helium Mobile’s amazing feats.
One of its notable features includes a 5G Helium service network that’s run by thousands of user-controlled points spread across the country. In addition, subscribers who operate nodes get a crypto token as a reward for sharing the service with other users nearby.
The firm’s subscribers can also acquire tokens by supporting the network. Also, if they decide to share the network coverage, they can earn MOBILE tokens that Nova Labs stated they can use to pay for their services.
