Highlights

  • USD/PLN trades in a bullish structure across all timeframes, with price above short-, medium-, and long-term moving averages.
  • Momentum signals are mostly bullish, but overbought readings from Stoch RSI and CCI suggest the risk of a pullback.
  • For the next 2 to 3 trading days, price is expected to fluctuate in a zł3.8804 to zł3.9194 range, with a high probability of further gains.

Mixed momentum signals as buyers push into overbought zone

On the hourly chart, USD/PLN sits above SMA-20 at zł3.8805 and SMA-50 at zł3.8858, as well as above the long-term SMA-200 at zł3.7253. The Ichimoku Kijun level of zł3.8838 acts as immediate support. Intraday technicals are mixed: RSI registers 66.56 (Buy), Bull/Bear Power shows dominance from buyers, and the Awesome Oscillator issues a strong buy signal, all in line with the current trend. However, MACD is neutral and ADX signals buy momentum. Stoch RSI and CCI are in overbought territory, flagging stretched market conditions and raising caution for potential pullbacks.

Further gains likely as resistance breakout seen as trigger

For the next 2–3 trading days, the price is expected to fluctuate within the zł3.8804 to zł3.9194 range, representing the typical volatility band relative to current levels. There is a very high probability of further gains within this corridor, while a downward move is considered unlikely. A bullish scenario would be triggered by a breakout above resistance; conversely, a bearish outlook could emerge only if the Kijun support level fails.

Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, sees the USD/PLN pair holding firm above key technical levels, supported by strong momentum signals. He notes that despite muted external news, intraday sentiment and macro context both provide a constructive backdrop for further gains. The analyst believes price action will remain inside the zł3.8804 to zł3.9194 band, with limited downside risks. "With buyers still in control and no fundamental headwinds, I expect USD/PLN to test the upper end of the range in the coming sessions."

Earlier, analysts noted that the underlying trend for USD/PLN remained bullish despite intermittent corrective moves. The latest technical setup reinforces this outlook, with immediate attention on the zł3.9194 resistance as a potential trigger for further gains in the near term.
