Revenue guidance misses estimates amid weak COVID product demand

Pfizer has updated its financial guidance, projecting 2026 revenue between $59.5 billion and $62.5 billion, with profit forecasts falling below Wall Street estimates due to anticipated weaker COVID-19 product sales. The company reaffirmed its adjusted diluted earnings per share guidance for 2025 and adjusted its 2025 revenue estimate to approximately $62 billion. Pfizer also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.43 per share, marking its 349th consecutive quarterly dividend, and announced positive results from Phase 3 trials in cancer and hemophilia as well as a new obesity drug licensing agreement.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, sees Pfizer under clear technical and sentiment-driven selling pressure. He notes the stock's struggle below short-term averages and highlights a lack of conviction in key momentum indicators. Kharitonov is cautious on the company's earnings guidance, as 2026 profit projections disappointed versus expectations. He believes the repeated dividends offer some support, but considers it insufficient against weak COVID-19 demand and mixed price signals. "Temporary bounces aside, I see little to confirm sustained upside until both fundamentals and price action improve meaningfully."

Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, remains constructive on Pfizer's underlying structure. He points to the company's positive Phase 3 results and continued dividend strength as key drivers of investor confidence. Karapetjanc expects renewed interest as the stock consolidates above its 200-day average and revenue guidance remains stable. He sees further growth potential if resistance levels break. "The bullish structure remains intact here — I believe Pfizer offers strong upside setups for the coming week."

Mixed technical momentum as support holds above long-term average

Technically, PFE faces short- and medium-term selling pressure as it trades just under its MA-20 and MA-50 but remains structurally supported above the long-term MA-200. Immediate dynamic support comes in near the Kijun level at $25.28, while initial resistance is aligned with the MA-50 at $25.13. Momentum signals are mixed: while daily MACD and ADX hint at a modest upward bias, they lack strong conviction. RSI reads at a bullish 62.76, but the Stoch RSI and CCI both signal overbought conditions, and Bull/Bear Power indicators underscore earlier buying dominance.

Previously it was reported that PFE shares maintained momentum above key moving averages, with short-term technicals constructive but oscillators such as RSI and Stoch RSI signaling oversold conditions. Resistance was seen at the Ichimoku Kijun and analysts noted a narrow trading range, while the daily MACD signaled strong buy even as other momentum indicators flagged direction risk.
