Automotive hits $1.1B for second consecutive quarter

Q1 FY 2026 automotive revenue hit $1.1 billion, up 15% year over year, marking a second consecutive quarter above one billion dollars. Software-defined vehicle platforms pave the way for automotive revenues to scale 30%+ per year.

The company partners with the Rivian JV and the CARIAD/Bosch automated driving alliance. Other partnerships include Toyota RAV4 along with expanded collaborations with Hyundai Mobis, Leapmotor, Li Auto, Zeekr, Great Wall Motor, NIO, and Chery.

Alphawave acquisition targets data center entry

Qualcomm completed its acquisition of Alphawave Semi approximately one quarter ahead of schedule. The acquisition, valued at approximately $2.4 billion, provides key assets for Qualcomm's expansion into data centers. Qualcomm said that data center sales from its new AI chips and other data center products would start appearing in fiscal 2027.

Recently, Qualcomm bounced from $132 to $138 after posting record $12.3 billion revenue and completing the Alphawave acquisition, with the stock testing the 20 EMA as resistance following weak Q2 guidance driven by memory supply constraints.
