Early delivery under Project Gigabit
As reported by GOV.UK, Gigaclear has completed its North Oxfordshire full-fibre build four months ahead of schedule under the UK government's Project Gigabit programme. The rollout gives homes and businesses across rural communities access to gigabit-capable broadband, with coverage extending to premises in places including Stratton Audley, Hanwell, Horley, Wendlebury and North Newington. The government says the upgraded network supports remote work, study, business operations and access to public services online. Telecoms Minister Ian Murray says the early completion brings fast, reliable connections to thousands of local premises through public investment. Gigaclear CEO Nathan Rundle says the project helps improve connectivity in rural communities that have historically been underserved.
