Highlights

  • Hargreaves Services secured a contract from Sizewell C Limited to design, build, and commission three foul water treatment facilities over FY27–FY28.
  • The contract, commencing in early 2027, enhances visibility on Hargreaves' medium-term order book and supports revenue and profit forecasts for FY27 and FY28.
  • Sizewell C's UK spend has reached around £5 billion with over 1,000 UK suppliers benefiting, supporting jobs and domestic supply chain investment.

Contract scope and delivery timeline

As reported by London Stock Exchange, citing the Regulatory News Service, Hargreaves Services has been selected by Sizewell C Limited to design, procure, manufacture, install, test and commission three foul water treatment facilities needed for construction of the Sizewell C nuclear project.

The company says the contract is expected to be delivered over a two-year period beginning in early 2027. Hargreaves adds that the award increases visibility over its medium-term workload and order book, while contributing revenue across FY27 to FY28.

The board expects the contract to help underpin existing group revenue and underlying profit before tax forecasts for the years ending 31 May 2027 and 31 May 2028, based on the planned phasing of the work.

UK infrastructure and supply chain impact

Chief executive Simon Hicks says the award reflects the growing strength of Hargreaves' engineering and project delivery capabilities and underlines its ability to support nationally significant clean energy and infrastructure developments across the UK.

Sizewell C chief commercial officer Jon Loveday says the agreement is another significant UK contract for the project and highlights its value to businesses across the country. He says Sizewell C's UK spend is now around £5 billion and that more than 1,000 UK suppliers have already benefited from work on the project, supporting thousands of jobs and future investment in the supply chain.

NuEnergy’s Labuan high-voltage interconnection contract highlighted the company’s move into extra-high-voltage infrastructure by delivering grid connection facilities for a 120MW power plant targeted for completion in Q3 2027. Our earlier coverage noted the RM10.1 million award was expected to support NuEnergy’s income, order book, revenue and profit, while positioning it to pursue larger-scale transmission and power infrastructure work.
