Individuals will not be able to export cash exceeding $100,000 to Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan from April 1, according to Branko Milanovic. The restriction applies based on the official exchange rate of the central bank on the day of export.
Milanovic has previously analyzed income trends by constructing a growth incidence curve for 25 Western economies. He has also observed that U.S. GDP per capita reached its global peak in 1952. The latest restriction on cash exports follows these earlier data-driven commentaries.
