Nadella unveils GPT-5.5 for Copilot

Microsoft's Satya Nadella announced the rollout of GPT-5.5 to several Copilot platforms, including GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Foundry. According to Nadella, GPT-5.5 features advancements in reasoning, improved handling of complex and multistep tasks, and better performance over extended interactions. The new model aims to accelerate the process from idea generation to execution, requiring fewer steps for users. The update is positioned to enhance productivity across Microsoft's suite of AI-driven tools.

Earlier, Nadella introduced Critique, a multi-model research tool in M365 Copilot, marking a step forward in enterprise AI capabilities. He has also highlighted Beca Group’s adoption of Azure and AI to enhance geotechnical data accessibility in engineering. The company continues to expand Copilot’s features across productivity and data platforms.
