Ex-LA County deputy orchestrated staged arrests in crypto scheme, Mario Nawfal reveals
Ex-LA deputy jailed in crypto scam

Mario Nawfal, Founder & CEO at IBC Group, reports that a former Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy has been sentenced to 63 months in prison.

The case involves the deputy taking $20,000 a month from a crypto scammer who called himself 'The Godfather.' According to Nawfal, the deputy lured victims to California, planted illegal substances on them, and staged fake arrests as part of the operation.

Nawfal has previously covered risk-related developments in various sectors. He recently reported that Emirates Airlines secured war risk insurance for its fleet at $100,000 a week. In another report, Nawfal highlighted projections that Germany's share of global GDP could fall to 4 percent by 2030.
