Emin Sirer: Bitcoin may face mining reward challenges after quantum risk fades
Bitcoin faces mining reward risk

Emin Sirer, CEO / Founder at Ava Labs, suggests that once concerns over quantum computing have subsided and are seen as less impactful than expected, Bitcoin may encounter difficulties due to insufficient mining rewards.

He notes that, in such a scenario, Bitcoin could benefit from adopting a pre-consensus layer using Avalanche technology.

Earlier, Emin Gün Sirer argued that blockchain reorganizations are not possible on Avalanche and discussed the potential of combining Avalanche technology with proof-of-work systems. He also highlighted the Avalanche Foundation's support for Aave following a major hack and pointed to trust issues in the DeFi sector. Sirer's recent comments further outline his views on integrating Avalanche solutions into established networks.
