Crypto market capitalization drops as Bitcoin sells

Anndy Lian reports that the total crypto market capitalization declined by 1.11% to $2.22 trillion, with Bitcoin driving the selling momentum.

According to Lian, digital assets are now showing a 63% correlation with the S&P 500 and a 68% correlation with gold. He suggests this reflects crypto's evolving role as a mature macroeconomic asset class.

Earlier this week, Lian reported that Bitcoin fell 6.09% to $66,867.60 as institutional funds exited digital assets. In a separate analysis, he stated that Elon Musk’s net worth was $1.2 trillion, amounting to 3% of nominal U.S. GDP. These observations come as market participants weigh digital asset performance alongside traditional financial benchmarks.
