Tether posts record profit and users Q2 2026

Paolo Ardoino, chief executive officer at Tether, announced that Tether has released its quarterly USDT attestation for the second quarter of 2026.

According to Ardoino, Tether posted approximately $1.5 billion in net operating profit during the quarter, despite highly volatile global markets. The USDT user base continued to grow, hitting a new all-time high of over 650 million users.

Ardoino previously highlighted the growing adoption of USDT in emerging market economies, calling it a cornerstone asset in those regions in earlier comments. He has also discussed advances in Tether’s technology, citing the QVAC infrastructure solution as a way to reduce reliance on centralized data centers and single points of failure, as detailed in a recent report. These developments follow Tether’s ongoing expansion and product updates.
