Anas Alhajji: Oil rises as U.S. and Iran exchange strikes
Oil climbs on U.S.-Iran military actions

Anas Alhajji, managing partner and energy economist at Energy Outlook Advisors LLC, reports that Iran struck U.S. military bases in neighboring countries, prompting the U.S. to retaliate.

According to Alhajji, oil prices reacted strongly, with Brent crude rising around 2 percent to approximately $90 per barrel.

Alhajji has previously commented on key developments in energy and financial markets. He noted that Citgo’s record ULSD exports and Venezuelan crude imports could impact the company’s planned U.S. asset sale. In another report, he covered the Carlyle Group’s acquisition of SunPower Inc following a 62 percent decline in the solar firm's shares.
