Fake security update for Liquid Network tries to install malicious file, Jameson Lopp warns
Liquid Network scam sends malware emails

Jameson Lopp, board member at Casa, warns that threat actors are circulating emails directing users to a fraudulent "mandatory security update" site for Liquid Network.

The site attempts to trick individuals into downloading and running a malicious .exe file, putting user security at risk.

Lopp has previously raised concerns about the Liquid Network, questioning whether the Liquid bridge hack days after Astra’s release was a coincidence. In a separate interview, he highlighted new details shared by a former Citrea developer regarding their role in the OP_RETURN war. Both incidents point to ongoing scrutiny of network security and protocol updates.
