HyperliquidPC files amicus brief on CME

Jake Chervinsky, lawyer and head of policy at Variant Fund and Blockchain Assoc., reports that HyperliquidPC has filed an amicus brief in the CME v. Selig case. The brief, prepared by former Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar, argues that CME lacks legal standing to block other firms from offering perpetual futures if it chooses not to do so.

Chervinsky previously discussed the origins of DeFi summer and highlighted the early adoption of onchain perpetuals in U.S. agriculture in one article. He has also described a step-by-step shift toward onchain financial systems and the rebuilding of global market infrastructure in another post. These earlier observations reflect his ongoing focus on regulatory and structural changes in digital finance.
