Alexander Stahel: Nscale hid ByteDance ties in IPO despite $2025 sales reliance
Nscale hid ByteDance sales in IPO

Alexander Stahel, founder / CIO at Commodity Private Equity Fund, states that Nscale, an Nvidia-backed AI cloud provider, concealed a significant relationship with ByteDance in its IPO filings, even though three-quarters of its 2025 sales depended on the Chinese firm.

Stahel adds that this approach enabled ByteDance to access Nvidia chips by exploiting a loophole.

Stahel has previously reported on energy market developments, including when crude tanker rates from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman reached $33 per barrel. He also covered Vitol CEO Russell Hardy's comments describing tight fuel markets and historically low stockpiles. These observations form part of Stahel’s ongoing coverage of commodity and market conditions.
