U.S. stocks gain before ADP payrolls and PCE report, Gary Black notes
U.S. stocks climb, Brent oil rises

Gary Black, managing partner and investor at The Future Fund, reports that U.S. stocks ticked higher in pre-market trading ahead of ADP payrolls, August PCE inflation data, and Micron earnings.

Brent crude oil rose 0.5 percent to $103 per barrel, the yield on the 10-year Treasury fell 2.5 basis points to 5.21 percent, bitcoin slipped to $83,200, and gold gained. President Donald Trump announced a non-binding White House accord with technology CEOs.

Black has previously commented on sector-specific developments. He observed that Tesla’s Cybercab launch event did not meet expectations, noting the vehicle joined the robotaxi fleet after a brief event. In another market comparison, Black highlighted that AVGO offered the lowest 2026 PEG ratio among Mag 8 stocks, while TSLA was the most expensive.
