Simon Taylor, co-founder at 11:FS, reports that Open USD (OUSD) has launched on Tempo with over $400 million in first-day liquidity.

The new stablecoin, built and governed by a group of more than 140 companies as announced earlier by Open Standard, allows businesses to mint and burn tokens at no cost using Coinbase, Stripe, Visa (VSP), and soon Mastercard.

Simon Taylor has previously examined competitive developments in fintech. He highlighted Anthropic's push to build in-house billing and treasury technology. Taylor also reported on Split Pay's $125 million raise to support a rent float feature for U.S. renters.
