Bond proceeds move into stocks, Willem Middelkoop notes
Bond sales may drive melt up

Willem Middelkoop, founder, investor, commodity fund manager at Commodity Discovery Fund, suggests that investors selling bonds are reallocating some of the proceeds into stocks.

He raises the possibility that a sharp downturn in bonds could trigger a final surge in equity markets, warning that inflationary measures are often used to address sovereign debt crises. Middelkoop also notes the role of central banks in intervening during rapid market corrections.

Middelkoop recently reported that China is moving to replace the U.S. dollar with gold in international trade, according to his analysis in a prior article. He has also made Talon Metals the largest position in his fund after highlighting drill results of 51 meters at over 50% CuEq, as detailed in an earlier update. These developments reflect Middelkoop’s ongoing focus on shifting global asset flows and commodity investments.
