Lisa Abramowicz: Yields on lowest-rated corporate bonds reach highest levels since 2022
Lowest-rated bond yields hit 2022 highs

Yields on the lowest-rated corporate bonds are now at their highest levels since 2022.

Lisa Abramowicz, journalist and co-host on Bloomberg TV/Radio, stated that a previously solid credit market, which had been a source of comfort for equity traders, has been eroding in recent weeks as corporate bond yields, especially among weaker companies, move higher.

In recent coverage, Lisa Abramowicz highlighted that high-yield bond spreads widened sharply, posting a 28 basis point jump over three days. The increase marked the largest move since October 2025. Separately, the IMF has projected that net borrowing by advanced economies will reach 5.2% of GDP this year, with China and U.S. deficits expected to hit 8% of GDP according to recent forecasts.
