U.S. stocks trade higher pre-market Friday, Gary Black notes
U.S. stocks higher as tech recovers

U.S. stocks edged modestly higher in pre-market trading Friday, with the S&P 500 up 0.1% and the Nasdaq 100 gaining 0.4% as technology shares partially recovered from Thursday’s AI-spending selloff, the worst day for the Nasdaq since June.

Brent crude rose 0.9% to $114 per barrel, and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield increased to 4.97%. Gary Black, Managing Partner and Investor at The Future Fund, provided the update.

Earlier this week, Gary Black highlighted gains in U.S. stocks as strong SPCX third-quarter results lifted technology names including Nvidia, Micron, Dell, SKHY, and Tesla in a market update. In a separate note, he cited negative earnings revisions and the risks from unsupervised autonomy as signals for caution on Tesla, according to his TSLA outlook. These observations follow recent swings in technology shares following the AI-driven selloff.
