Palantir stock forecast: Can PLTR hold $170 after failed breakout?
Palantir tests $170 as AI partnerships strengthen the fundamental backdrop

PLTR failed to extend its move above $180 and pulled back toward the previously highlighted $170 support. This level now becomes the main short-term reference point as Palantir continues to expand its presence across AI infrastructure.

Palantir and Nebius announced a strategic partnership under which Nebius will become Palantir’s preferred infrastructure partner for sovereign AI. The integration will allow Palantir customers to use Nebius computing capacity while retaining control over their data, models and infrastructure.

The Financial Times also reported that the UK’s National Energy System Operator awarded Palantir a £21 million contract without a competitive tender. NESO attributed the decision to technical dependence on Palantir systems already in use.

Palantir faces a key support test near $170

PLTR approached resistance at $180 but lacked enough momentum to break through. After the failed attempt, the stock reversed and fell toward the previously highlighted $170 support.

For today’s session, $170 becomes the main level to watch. A decisive break and sustained move below it could accelerate the decline toward the next support area around $162.50.

If buyers manage to defend $170, the stock could recover toward the $175–176 area.

Another technical development worth watching is a potential golden cross on the daily chart. The last comparable signal appeared in early April 2023. After the crossover, the stock initially fell by more than 10% before gaining 177% over the following quarter.

The signal has not formed yet, however. Confirmation requires the 50-day SMA to cross decisively above the 200-day SMA.

Support remains the key trigger for the next move

Despite the positive corporate backdrop and the possibility of a golden cross forming, PLTR’s short-term structure is currently being driven by the reaction around $170.

Holding this level would preserve the possibility of a recovery toward $175–176. A sustained break below it, by contrast, would increase the probability of a deeper correction toward $162.50.

The reaction around $170 should therefore determine Palantir’s next short-term move.
