Building safe learning spaces: The HOME Learning Center
The newly launched HOME Learning Center, based in Depok, West Java, serves as a year-long support hub for 100 children and 100 parents or guardians from orphaned and low-income families. Fully funded by Finex, the program provides a structured environment for academic, emotional, and social development.
Key components of the initiative include:
- Academic and skills-based learning sessions
- Monthly creativity workshops to build curiosity and self-expression
- Psychological consultations for children and parents
- Quarterly parenting education to strengthen family support systems
- Healthy-living training to encourage long-term wellbeing
Finex emphasized that the center was designed to give vulnerable children not only a physical learning space but also “a sense of safety, hope, and belonging.”
Edu trip: Outdoor learning to strengthen confidence and collaboration
Expanding on its previous Ramadan CSR efforts, Finex and Human Initiative organized a one-day Edu Trip for 100 children aged 7–15 at Rivera Outbound and Edutainment in Bogor. The event combined outdoor games, team-building exercises, creative workshops, and nature exploration.
The goal was to create a joyful learning environment where children could develop:
- Confidence
- Teamwork
- Curiosity and problem-solving skills
Finex also distributed 100 essential-needs packages to support the children’s daily living conditions.
“Edu Trip is about empowering children through joyful learning and showing them that they are seen, valued, and supported,” said Merlita Gihardini, Finex CSR & Event Manager. She emphasized the company’s intention to continue exploring meaningful partnerships to uplift communities across Indonesia.
Finex stated that both programs are part of a long-term strategy to contribute to national child development efforts. As Finex continues expanding its presence in the Indonesian financial sector, the broker aims to strengthen its role as a community partner promoting education access and social resilience.
