PubMatic advances agentic AI projects

PubMatic hosted its 12th annual Hackathon, drawing 111 teams and 416 innovators to a 48 hour sprint focused on agentic AI.

Of the projects developed during the event, 42 percent were explicitly agentic in nature, while more than half of the teams—54 percent—were cross functional. The company also noted that 14 teams composed entirely of non engineers succeeded in building complete AI powered solutions. The initiative demonstrates a notable shift toward broader participation in AI innovation, both within technical and non technical groups at PubMatic.

PubMatic recently presented its AgenticOS and Activate platforms in Tokyo, highlighting AI-driven advertising solutions for clients in Japan (link). The company also expanded its digital video strategy with new CTV partnerships alongside Channel4 and Sony Pictures announced at Cannes Lions (link). These developments reflect PubMatic's continued investment in emerging advertising and AI technologies.
