Byrna introduces nonlethal launcher

Byrna Technologies Inc. has introduced a launcher capable of firing both regular and chemical-irritant rounds, offering users the ability to stop potential threats from up to 60 feet away.

Promoted as an option for personal, home, and self-defense, the nonlethal device reflects a growing interest in alternatives to traditional firearms. The company positions its launcher as a safer method to deter intruders and ensure safety without resorting to lethal force.

Byrna previously launched Kinetic rounds designed for non-lethal personal safety, with an emphasis on reusable and safe self-defense options here. The company also reported that its Byrna SD device was used to deter a mountain lion during a 15-minute wildlife encounter here. These deployments highlight Byrna’s continued expansion in nonlethal defense devices.
