ProAm debuts on CSE

ProAm Explorations has moved its share listing to the Canadian Securities Exchange as the Vancouver-based mineral explorer starts trading under the ticker PMX. The shift gives the company a new public market venue as it advances gold, gallium, germanium, copper and gold exploration assets in Canada and the U.S.

Highlights

  • ProAm Explorations' common shares began trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the symbol PMX on October 19, moving from the TSX Venture Exchange.
  • ProAm holds or is earning interests in the Golden Ridge gold project in New Brunswick, HHP Gallium/Germanium Project in Utah, and Jet Copper/Gold Project in Nevada.
  • Work at Golden Ridge has extended geological understanding and identified new targets along the Woodstock Fault corridor beyond the historically explored Poplar Mountain area.

Listing move and asset portfolio

As reported by Canadian Securities Exchange, ProAm Explorations' common shares, previously listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, begin trading on the CSE on October 19 under the symbol PMX.

The company is focused on expanding its exploration portfolio, with current work at the Golden Ridge project in western New Brunswick aimed at extending known gold mineralization. ProAm holds an option to acquire a 100% interest in Golden Ridge, a 100% interest in the HHP Gallium/Germanium Project in Utah, and is earning into the Jet Copper/Gold Project in Nevada.

At Golden Ridge, the company says historical exploration at Poplar Mountain and a structural review identify opportunities to test extensions of known mineralization as well as additional targets along the Woodstock Fault corridor.

Mining market positioning and regional context

Stuart Schady, the CSE's vice president of business development, says New Brunswick is regarded as a promising gold exploration jurisdiction, supported by active discoveries, numerous listed prospects and ongoing exploration spending. He adds that the exchange remains a venue of choice for emerging mining exploration issuers and says ProAm joins a sizable group of listed companies on the market.

ProAm Chief Executive Officer Jason Cubitt says the company sees the CSE listing as an opportunity to advance its portfolio and communicate progress to shareholders. He says work completed so far at Golden Ridge has improved the company's understanding of the property and highlighted targets beyond Poplar Mountain.

Our earlier article on Richemont’s talks to join a consortium bidding for De Beers examined how luxury groups may be seeking tighter control over raw-material supply by gaining exposure to major diamond mining assets. We noted that such a move could strengthen Richemont’s access to diamonds for brands like Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, as deal activity revives following a sector downturn.
