Nano Nuclear Energy announced that its subsidiary, STS, has been recognized for its contributions to two U.S. Department of Energy award-winning nuclear transportation missions.

The recognition underscores STS's capabilities in handling government and commercial nuclear transportation projects, according to the company.

Earlier this year, Nano Nuclear Energy advanced the regulatory review of its KRONOS Micro Modular Reactor program with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, aiming for initial construction in late 2027, according to a company statement. The company also partnered with the University of Illinois to build a full-scale KRONOS microreactor prototype as part of its technology development efforts, as detailed in a previous announcement. These initiatives illustrate Nano Nuclear’s engagement in both regulatory and research partnerships.
