Credit analysis and market implications

KBRA says its review uses its multi-borrower rating process, beginning with an assessment of the financial and operating performance of the underlying properties to determine sustainable net cash flow and KBRA value under its North American CMBS Property Evaluation Methodology.

On a weighted average basis, the pool's KBRA net cash flow is 12.9% below the issuer's cash flow, while KBRA values are 37.1% below third-party appraisal values after capitalization rates are applied to each asset's KNCF. The pool has an in-trust KLTV of 95.5% and an all-in KLTV of 95.6%.

KBRA adds that its ratings process also applies rent and occupancy stresses, probability of default regressions, and loss given default calculations for each loan. Those measures, combined with pool concentration and other transaction factors, shape the final credit ratings for the deal.

In our previous coverage of sovereign resilience in a higher-rate regime, we explained how persistent geopolitical shocks and elevated fiscal spending can intensify refinancing pressure as funding costs stay high. We noted that emerging and frontier markets are particularly exposed because interest-service burdens tend to be heavy relative to narrower revenue bases, with energy and food price spikes adding to inflation and credit stress.
