Pump.fun surpasses Hyperliquid in daily revenue with Project Ascend boost
Pump.fun overtakes Hyperliquid with $2.55M daily revenue

Pump.fun, the Solana-based memecoin launchpad, has overtaken Hyperliquid in 24-hour revenue, marking a major comeback for the platform. According to DefiLlama data, Pump.fun generated $2.55 million on September 4, surpassing Hyperliquid’s $2.21 million.

The milestone pushes Pump.fun’s cumulative revenue to $784.56 million, outpacing Hyperliquid’s $650.85 million, and securing its position as the highest-earning decentralized application after stablecoin giants Tether and Circle, reports Crypto News.

Earlier this year, Hyperliquid had briefly displaced Pump.fun, but the platform is regaining momentum with aggressive buybacks and a redesigned growth strategy.

Project Ascend introduces dynamic fee model

At the core of Pump.fun’s resurgence is Project Ascend, launched on September 2, which aims to 100x the ecosystem and strengthen long-term sustainability for memecoins. Its key feature, Dynamic Fees V1, ties creator fees to a token’s market capitalization—decreasing costs as projects scale. This model discourages pump-and-dump behavior while rewarding developers who build enduring, community-backed tokens.

The update is designed to make token launches more rewarding, while maintaining affordability for successful projects. Pump.fun has also executed $69.5 million in buybacks funded by platform revenue, creating a feedback loop that reduces supply and supports PUMP token price stability.

PUMP token rallies as user adoption grows

Pump.fun’s resurgence is reflected in its token performance and rising user activity. PUMP gained 12% in the past 24 hours and is up about 32% over the past week, while Hyperliquid’s HYPE token has struggled, dropping more than 6% in the same period. On-chain data shows retail adoption climbing, with 72,082 unique holders and nearly 28,000 tokens launched on Pump.fun in a single day—well above previous activity levels. As the platform reclaims its dominance as Solana’s top memecoin launchpad, its combination of structural upgrades, active buybacks, and community adoption suggests Pump.fun is poised to extend its influence across the crypto landscape.
