Brent oil rises above $119.50 a barrel, Annmarie Hordern notes
Annmarie Hordern, industry influencer, reports that Brent oil has reached its highest price since June 2022, climbing more than 7% above $119.50 a barrel.
This new high follows the start of the Iran war, with Brent oil surging as global market dynamics shift.
Brent oil previously surged to a record $144.42 for physical barrels, according to Platts data reported by Hordern. Hordern has also covered U.S. nonfarm payrolls, noting a 178,000 increase that exceeded forecasts. These earlier updates provide context for the current price move.
