NVDA and SoftBank consider Japan AI servers

Shay Boloor, industry influencer, reports that NVDA is in discussions with SoftBank to support the development of made-in-Japan AI servers.

SoftBank is considering plans to design and assemble domestic AI server components by the end of the decade.

Boloor has previously highlighted calls for higher semiconductor valuations. DA Davidson recently set a $1,000 price target on Micron, citing strong AI-driven memory cycles and compute demand. The firm also pointed to AI as a driver of a new memory cycle shaping Strategy’s valuation outlook.
