VC skepticism about early Bitcoin adoption

Peter Smith, co-founder and chief executive officer at Blockchain.com, shared a reflection on raising series A funding for a BTC company. Smith recalled a venture capitalist stating it was 100 times more likely that 50% of the world population would use Venmo than for 1 million people to use Bitcoin.

According to Smith, Venmo was considered the hottest app at the time.
