Simon Taylor, co-founder at 11:FS, highlights a significant gap in artificial intelligence spending among U.S. firms. According to Taylor, the top 1% of U.S. companies invest $7,449 per employee each month on AI, which is 650 times more than the median company, where the average spend is $11.38—roughly enough for one enterprise seat of Claude or ChatGPT.
Taylor also notes that spending by the top cohort grew by 14.1% in a single month, signaling rapid acceleration in AI investment among leading enterprises.
Taylor has previously weighed in on other industry developments. He noted the outcome of a $38 billion settlement between Visa, Mastercard, and 12 million merchants over swipe fees. In another report, Taylor commented on Jamie Dimon's remarks about Brian Armstrong and stablecoins following a Fox interview.
