Capital shifts from ETFs to bitcoin

James Van Straten highlights shifting trends in speculative capital, observing that the VanEck Semis ETF has dropped 11% from its all-time highs while the Roundhill Memory ETF is down 25%.

He notes that capital is currently rotating back into software, metals, and bitcoin for the time being.

Van Straten previously noted that gold posted its worst quarter in 13 years as the S&P 500 reached a six-year high and bitcoin declined for three consecutive quarters. He also suggested that SpaceX could follow the early gains and subsequent declines seen in recent IPOs such as Circle and CoreWeave. These past observations come as capital moves between sectors and asset classes.
