Deribit announced that short-dated options trades made within two hours prior to the daily reset can contribute to a reward multiplier as part of its ongoing competition with SignalPlus. Trading volume in short-dated options before the 08:00 UTC reset determines participants’ multiplier tiers for Daily Tide and Crew Tide prizes.
Deribit has launched a daily reward multiplier mechanism as part of The Island trading competition in collaboration with SignalPlus. Participants who execute short-dated options trades (contracts expiring in seven days or less) before the daily reset at 08:00 UTC can achieve higher multiplier tiers for Daily Tide and Crew Tide rewards, with the highest multiplier (2×) requiring a trading volume of 1 million. The multiplier is recalculated every day, and only trades made before the reset time contribute to that day's multiplier. This feature is one aspect of the larger competition running from July 6 to August 10, 2026, which offers a total prize pool of up to $600,000 USDC.
To join Deribit's 'The Island' trading competition and qualify for the Island Amplifier reward multiplier, first register for the event. Each day before 08:00 UTC, place at least one short-dated options trade (with expiry of 7 days or less) on Deribit. Your daily short-dated options trading volume determines your reward multiplier for Daily Tide and Crew Tide payouts, with higher volumes yielding higher multipliers. Interested users can register via the official sign-up link.
