Pintu review: Exchange sees rapid growth with regulated futures and more than 10M app downloads
Indonesia-based crypto exchange Pintu has reported significant growth in both user base and trading activity, driven by the launch of its regulated futures product and increasing adoption of its mobile platform. The company’s mobile app surpassed 10 million downloads by July 2025, while its Pintu Pro Futures product recorded a 170% month-on-month increase in trading volume.

Introduced in late 2024, Pintu Pro Futures is positioned as Indonesia’s first fully regulated crypto derivatives offering. Developed in cooperation with a licensed futures broker under Bappebti (Indonesia’s Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency), the platform allows users to trade with up to 25× leverage. Tools available include long and short positions, margin indicators, and auto-close orders, aiming to accommodate both experienced traders and those new to derivatives.
Accessibility and regulatory compliance drive adoption
Pintu has also focused on accessibility, allowing users to begin spot trading from as little as Rp 11,000. The mobile app features biometric login, two-factor authentication, and fund custody through regulated institutions, reinforcing its compliance posture.The exchange supports over 300 digital assets and offers a user-friendly interface tailored to retail participation. Its steady growth reflects Indonesia’s broader trend of rising crypto adoption, with the number of crypto users more than doubling between 2021 and 2022.Pintu’s strategy of blending regulatory alignment with simplified user access has helped it attract a wide user base.
