Clearfield has completed its latest Tribal Broadband Training Initiative session in Arizona. The program included a Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) training, hosted in collaboration with Hopi Telecommunications Inc. and Wayne Sekaquaptewa.
The session aimed to expand technical expertise in fiber networks for tribal communities, addressing demand for advanced broadband infrastructure. Clearfield expressed gratitude to local partners for their role in supporting workforce development and broadband expansion.
Clearfield previously set a target for Hawaii to become the first fully fiber-enabled state in the U.S. by the end of 2026, according to its Hawaii initiative. The company has also advocated for broader fiber deployment to improve community broadband and increase customer options, citing new research in a recent campaign. The Arizona session is part of Clearfield's ongoing push to expand fiber infrastructure nationwide.
