WisdomTree launches tokenized private credit fund for crypto investors
WisdomTree expands blockchain funds with tokenized private credit launch

WisdomTree, one of the largest providers of exchange-traded funds and investment products, has announced the launch of the tokenized digital fund WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income (CRDT), offering crypto investors an opportunity to diversify their holdings.

According to the press release, CRDT aims to provide access to private credit through a transparent tokenized fund structure, making this traditionally hard-to-reach market accessible to crypto-native investors and institutions.

“CRDT opens access to one of the most sought-after asset classes — alternatives — directly on the blockchain. By expanding the range of our tokenized funds, we give crypto-native investors the ability to diversify their investments using opportunities once reserved for institutional investors,” said Will Peck, Head of Digital Assets at WisdomTree.

CRDT tracks the price and yield performance of the Gapstow Private Credit & Alternative Income Index (GLACI) before fees and expenses. WisdomTree has extensive experience in this space and also sponsors the ETF WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income Fund (HYIN), which seeks to track the same benchmark.

For retail investors, the fund is available via the WisdomTree Prime app, while institutional investors can access it through the WisdomTree Connect platform.

Tokenization of assets is expanding rapidly

In addition to official book-entry records of share ownership, digital representations of fund shares are also registered on the Ethereum and Stellar blockchains (at launch), reconciled daily through integrated blockchain-based accounting.

The fund does not invest in cryptocurrencies and applies T+0 settlement for subscriptions and T+2 settlement for redemptions.

With a minimum investment of $25, the management fee is 0.50%, while the acquisition fee stands at 3.66%, for a total expense ratio of 4.16%. Brokerage fees may also apply in the future.
