Eric Lefkofsky sees improved IO therapy response prediction results
Eric Lefkofsky, a well-known entrepreneur in healthcare innovation, has highlighted the latest impact of his company's Integrated Precision Science (IPS) test on patient care and treatment outcomes.
The IPS test examined genetic sequences from over 50,000 patients, successfully identifying nearly 1,400 individuals who, despite having traditionally low Tumor Mutational Burden (TMB) or Microsatellite Instability (MSI) levels, are predicted to positively respond to Immuno-Oncology (IO) therapy. Lefkofsky emphasizes this as a significant advancement, potentially transforming how healthcare providers assess and enhance treatment plans for cancer patients.
This novel approach aims to bridge the gap where conventional markers might not indicate successful treatment pathways, striving for more personalized and effective patient care.
