Theodore Leonsis honors U.S. military community at Capitals Salute to Military Night
Theodore Leonsis, principal owner of the Washington Capitals, recognized members of the U.S. military community during the Capitals Salute to Military Night at Capital One Arena.
The event highlighted the contributions of active-duty service members, veterans, and military families residing in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region. According to Leonsis, the leadership and sacrifice of these individuals ''strengthen our community every day.''
Salute to Military Night is part of ongoing efforts by sports organizations to connect with and honor the military community in the local area. The ceremony underscored the significance of civic engagement and corporate recognition for military service in the U.S.
