Theodore Leonsis says sports help foster growth and confidence among young people
A new basketball court has been unveiled at the Boys and Girls Club in Washington, D.C., through a joint effort involving the Washington Mystics and the Washington Wizards. The initiative aims to provide local youth with a safe environment to learn and grow. According to Theodore Leonsis, creating safe spaces for young people is essential, and sports can play a key role in building confidence and supporting personal development for children in the U.S.
Leonsis has previously described the No. 1 NBA draft pick as a key opportunity for sustainable growth for the Washington Wizards. In a separate initiative, he supported Mark Rivera’s memoir event in Palm Beach. Both projects underline his involvement in sports and community events.
