Metaplanet acquired 5075 BTC for $405.48 million during the first quarter of 2026, according to Simon Gerovich. The average purchase price per bitcoin was approximately $79,898, and the company has achieved a BTC yield of 2.8% year-to-date in 2026.

As of March 31, 2026, Metaplanet holds a total of 40,177 BTC, acquired for about $4.18 billion at an average cost of $104,106 per bitcoin.

Earlier this year, Metaplanet raised about $2.72 billion from a third-party allotment to global institutional investors, according to a previous note by Simon Gerovich. Gerovich has also highlighted a March 24 deadline for shareholders to exercise voting rights using a QR code system in a recent update.
