Partners Group to limit fund withdrawals

Alexander Stahel, founder / CIO at Commodity Private Equity Fund, draws attention to challenges facing Partners Group in the private equity sector.

He highlights that Partners Group is preparing to cap withdrawals at its flagship U.S. private equity fund as it seeks to halt further outflows, following recent moves to gate funds due to sustained losses.

Stahel has previously tracked key moves in energy markets. He reported that U.S. average retail gasoline prices climbed to $4.54 a gallon, approaching the June 2022 record. In another note, Stahel observed that China cut crude oil imports by 6 million barrels per day in May.
