Wei Dai predicts that companies operated entirely by AI agents are inevitable.

According to Wei Dai, these "agentic entities" will initially function on cryptocurrency rails as their default operating infrastructure, until regulatory environments in various jurisdictions mature enough to permit fully native support.

Dai has previously flagged risks in blockchain systems, including a bug in the Zcash Orchard zk circuit that escaped expert audit. He has also warned that onchain privacy protocols like Railgun can face operational delays and late law enforcement intervention.
