World Cup spurs record $1B daily trading in prediction markets, Freda Duan notes — World Cup boosts prediction market volume

Freda Duan reports a significant surge in prediction market activity driven by the World Cup.

According to Duan, $Kalshi reached $1 billion in daily volume for the first time, while the soccer category alone now sees around $600 million in daily volume—about three times higher than the previous peaks set during “Knicks day” or for NFL events.

Duan previously reported that Anthropic’s updated S-1/A disclosed $1.25 billion in monthly payments through May 2029, with adjustments set for 2026.
